Community in Conversation: BUTTER

On this special bonus episode of Conversation Piece, we launch our newest series Community in Conversation, focused on highlighting the people behind the scenes of the organizations who bring events like BUTTER and CHREECE to life every year. In this episode, we head to the historic Stutz in downtown Indy for the fourth annual BUTTER FINE ART FAIR. Held on Labor Day Weekend, this multi-day event centers Black artists from across the state and the globe and has seen over 30,000 people walk through its exhibits and over $750,000 in art sold over the first three years. That continued in 2024: another $137,000 worth of art was sold this past weekend.
